How to consign

We take deposits by appointment only.

To get the most out of your deposit, please bring at least 10 items.

Below this number, the deposit is not optimal for you or for us, so feel free to bring a few more!

Welcome to our consignment store. Here's everything you need to know about consigning your items and tracking your sales.


1. Selection Criteria

We accept women's fashion items, bags, and accessories that meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 10 items per deposit.

  • Items in excellent condition: washed, clean, and free of stains, holes, tears, or discoloration.

  • Items suitable for the current season.

  • Exclusions: fast fashion brands (Ardene, Garage, Forever 21, H&M, Zara).


2. Item Evaluation & Pricing

Each accepted item undergoes a rigorous evaluation:

  • Quality control.

  • Attractiveness, rarity, and trendiness.

  • Seasonal relevance.

  • Perceived value in the second-hand market.

  • Minor alterations if necessary (cleaning, sewing, finishing).

👉 Some items may be rejected at this stage.

Pricing:
Bee's Knees determines the consignment price and the commission percentage. You will then receive a detailed list of the prices set for your items.


3. Pricing Structure & Discounts

4. Sales Tracking

All consigned items are inventoried via ConsignCloud.
You can view your inventory in real-time via the Consignor Portal:

You also receive a notification for each sale.


5. Collecting Sales Proceeds

On the 15th of each month, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to collect your previous month's sales balance.

You have 7 days to request your refund.

⚠️ If no response within this period: your earnings will be carried over to the following month.
⚠️ After 3 months without news: a $20 fee will be applied for managing, reviewing, and updating your file.


6. Payment Options

Less than $50:

  • Cash in store.

  • Bank transfer ($1.50 fee).

  • Accumulation until $50 is reached.

$50 and more:

  • Interac e-Transfer (processing time: 7 business days after request).


7. Item Responsibility

We do everything possible to protect your items.
However, Bee's Knees cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.


8. Unsold Item Collection

At the end of the consignment period, you will receive a detailed notification.

You then have 7 days to collect your items.

⚠️ After this period: Bee's Knees reserves the right to dispose of unsold items (e.g., donate to a charity).
⚠️ A $5 fee per abandoned item will be applied.


9. Retention Period

Items are kept for a maximum of two seasons, or longer depending on the period and deposit date.

Discounts ranging from 15% to 50% may be applied to boost sales.

You will be notified to arrange the return of items if necessary.


10. Termination

Consignors must be prepared to part with their items once deposited.

  • Items cannot be retrieved during the three-month sales period.

  • After three months, if your items remain unsold, you can request their return by providing:

    • Product Title – SKU Code – Price.

Approximately 30 days are needed to arrange the return, depending on the season.

⚠️ The return of items during the sales period is not prioritized.
